CALIPSO - Data Availability Site Help Page

Purpose of Data Availability Web Page

The purpose of this tool is to allow users to view what orderable data were processed for a specific CALIPSO data day.

Data Views

Users are able to view the CALIPSO data processed by year, month, and day.

Data View by Year

Users are able to view an entire calendar year. Those days that are active links, inform the user that CALIPSO data were generated. Those days that are not active links, inform the user that there are no orderable CALIPSO data available. This is a high level view informing all that data were processed for a specific data day.

Data Years Available

CALIPSO data availability starts on June 13, 2006. Data are available from the year 2006 to the present.

Data Views by Month

By clicking on a month (words spelled out on calendar page), users are able to view all orderable data available by data set.

Users will see how many data files were generated by data day and the total by data month.

Users will be able to view the information for one data day by selecting the active data day link.

Data Views by Day

By clicking on a specific data day on the calendar, users will be able to view what data were generated by data set.

Users, will be able to access the browse web pages, user’s guide, and data quality summaries supporting the particular data day.

Why are data day totals for each data product in the Monthly view page in different colors?

The numbers in GREEN inform us that the expected number of data granules generated for a day and for a specific data set is the expected number. This number represents a full day’s worth of data.

The numbers in ORANGE inform us that this is not a full day’s worth of data granules and that is probably all that will be processed for a specific data day.

The numbers in RED inform us that data are being processed but that we don't have any data processed for a specific data set. The number is ZERO (0).

The final color a number may appear in is BLACK. That informs the user that data were not processed for a specific data day and are not orderable.

Ordering Data From ASDC

Users may order data from the Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) at the following link.
