PRODUCTS - CALIPSO Wide Field Camera Browse Images
This site contains browse images of the CALIPSO Wide Field Camera (WFC).
The WFC is a narrow-band push-broom imager that provides continuous high
spatial resolution (125 m) images of radiance and reflectance during the
daylight segments of the CALIPSO orbit over a 61 km swath centered on the
lidar footprint. The spectral band of the WFC is designed to match the Aqua
MODIS instrument’s channel 1 having a central wavelength of 645 nm and a
bandwidth of 50 nm.
Users will be able to view the WFC browse images by selecting a data day
from the calendar below that is highligthed in blue. The images are displayed by
orbit. On each data day, there are up to fifteen orbits.
